This picture of my lovely Victorian lady was sent to me by June Peart. With such beautiful stitching I'm not surprsed that she won a prize at her local Devon garden and craft show last year.

I will shortly be adding more large floral pictures to my shop. The beautiful Opium poppy is now available - see above - and a pink rose, pink hydrangea as seen here and anemones and an iris will be added in the next couple of weeks. All are simple to stitch as only whole cross stitches are used.
Please, don't forget to join me on Friday this week, when we make the start on our floral sampler. This you can download...

After a few teething problems I hope you, and me, are getting used to a slightly different format. The new system allows your messages to come directly to me so I can keep up to date. I'm still finding my way round it so bear with me if there are a few mistakes! I am really busy with a large commission at present but will add a few new designs to my SHOP site early next week. Hope your stitching is...

Hope your week is going well. I am at present on a very large commission so no time to catch up with other things, so I thought you might like to catch up with our Tilly. As you can see at 13 + weeks getting into trouble. We have had to remove all of the garden lights, but she still managed to find one more!
Remember this Friday is our last motif to stitch for my weekly Christmas SAL sampler. Catch...

I can't say that I have been very hard at work this past week.......some how, a little bundle of fur has taken up quite a bit of our time. Tilly is now 9 weeks old and a bundle of energy; not phased by anything it seems. The vet said it's because she has been bred from good 'working stock' ......perhaps he is right. The problem will be whether I have the skills to train her..... time will tell.
I have added...

Finally, at 8 weeks, Tilly has joined us at home. Sandie, our 13 year old Cairn, seems quite happy, and for two nights now, both have slept together in Sandie's bed. Our next purchase....a larger bed!! ......must get a picture, this morning's attempt was blurred....too dark to really judge what I was doing.
Are you all ready for the Christmas house motif for our SAL? Remember it will be out for you to download this Friday 15th October.......it should be a...

Just in case you don't follow my Face Book page, I am showing this stitched design of my seahorse by Brenda Allan here this week. This chart can be found in World of Cross stitching 259 or it will become available, if you can't get hold of a copy, from my Shop page around February 2018.
What I like is that Brenda has 'done her own thing!' without compromising my design.
She stitched it on 14 count white Aida and to keep...

Embellished with sparkly beads and metallic threads, this shimmery seahorse is a real show - stopper. There is something almost magical about seahorses, and I have tried to capture something of their charm in this design. Find it in the latest edition of World of Cross Stitching, issue 259.

I was sent this picture by Shirley Rigby who stitched this as a present for her friend's Ruby wedding anniversary. It is delightful and what appealed to me as well was that she adapted a rose deign of mine which you can also see here. I love stitchers to do this and create their own special piece. I understand that the stitched sampler actually was delayed in travel, so I do hope by now it has arrived safely. Do let...

The photo is of me, very happy and relaxed on our recent trip to the Dordogne in France. We had an absolutely glorious week there.
I hope your week is going well. We have certainly had some good weather in the UK recently. Just thought I would add a reminder that if you are stitching any of my designs then why don't you come and join us at: ...

Great to receive a picture of one of my designs that I did for DMC a couple of years ago. Beautifully stitched by Sharon Brown and on 18 count hand dyed fabric, although the original kit was for 14 count. It looks lovely, although I did mention to Sharon that her eyesight must be very good, and she had to admit 16 count would have been easier. Absolutely lovely to see. Thank you Sharon.

This delightful Autumn scene will tansport you back to a peaceful and quaint Engish scene. The design can be found in the latest edition of CRAZY Cross Stitch, issue 232. They have stitched it as a triptych, but here I am also showing it as one complete design. If you wish to work it like this then just remove the blank areas between the charts for that complete look!
