As well as the wedding sampler in the current issue of World of Cross Stitching you can also find this delightful picture that shows a Great tit amongst pretty trailing , pink briar roses and a head of a peony flower peeping out in the corner. These, along with the ornate, dainty birdcage make it a delightful scene that will add a touch of style to any home. Find this in the latest Cross Stitch CRAZY, issue 191.
I personally think this picture would also be lovely stitched as a wedding gift, especially if you extend the amount of fabric at the bottom and add your own sentiments or details of the special couple.
Inspired by nature’s beauty, this gorgeous design is filled with delicate details which I hope you will enjoy stitching. Like the picture here that uses one of the smaller elements within the design.
A TIP: Don’t forget when looking at a larger picture, that there are quite often smaller elements that can be used from the major design. I have taken one of the briar roses and tweaked it slightly by removing the pale blue trellis lines and then using this colour again to add a simple border line around the flower This finishes the design off, making it now quite suitable for a small card.
