As you can see from the photo, David and I have had a few days in the snow. Our trip was to north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. A journey on the Arctic Express took us over the border 50 miles further north into Sweden where we had the experience of a husky sledge ride and a long walk in the a beautiful snowy landscape.
On that train we met a couple; she was Norwegian, her husband Swedish, and she was knitting, for one of her granddaughters, a jumper/ cardigan in a pattern that I would call FairIsle ....perhaps someone can tell me the correct name? ...... It is stitched using circular needles. How lovely is this! An heirloom that can be handed down through the generations. The pattern was lovely, sorry that my photo is a little blurred, but I'm sure you cann see how lovely it looks.
