Well, this design is in complete contrast to the Flower girl, but you will still find it in the same issue of Cross Stitch Collection 113.
Here we have a very modern design with a style similar in keeping to the strong, colourful graphic images of the 50's / 70's . These straightforward stitches create an eye - catching piece that is shown to perfection on this wooden tray.
None of these motifs uses more than seven shades of thread and they are all worked in whole cross stitches with some back stitch. I think the whole design would also look good made up as a canvas for a really stunning picture.
