Just in case you don't follow my Face Book page, I am showing this stitched design of my seahorse by Brenda Allan here this week. This chart can be found in World of Cross stitching 259 or it will become available, if you can't get hold of a copy, from my Shop page around February 2018.
What I like is that Brenda has 'done her own thing!' without compromising my design.
She stitched it on 14 count white Aida and to keep costs down, painted it with blue glitter paint. In her words: 'it's brilliant, full of glitter, easy to sew on as well and only £1 for the paint....daft idea that worked'
She altered a couple of threads so DMC satin thread was used for the backstitch instead of Kreinik and DMC metallic for the wing instead of Kreinik thread, which again not only looks good, but saves money.
I hope you will agree that Brenda has done a wonderful job!
Comment from Maharukh
Looks beautiful with these vibrant colours. I am waiting for my copy of 'The World of Cross Stitching' Issue 259, so that I can stitch this lovely Seahorse.
