6th Jan 2018
As promised earlier when asking you all what designs to do for this year's SAL, your comments were divided between the Sunbonnet Sue idea and flowers and butterflies. With the kind help of Katherine So in Australia for Sunbonnet Sue and Lori Laughlin in America for the floral sampler, I am very pleased to say that we have two SALs running throughout 2018.
Sunbonnet Sue designs are out on the 1st of the month and the motifs for the floral sampler will be ready for downloading mid month - always on a Friday, but I will, of course, let you know on FB and my website that they are available.
The floral sampler design is based on the popular Christmas sampler we worked on up to Christmas. The motifs vary in size so there are grid lines shown in blue and numbered so that you can see how each motif will fit within the border. Like the previous sampler you can just stitch the flowers separately for cards / ornaments.
The chart for the border and the KEY are ready to download now, and the first flower, an aquilegia, will be posted on Friday 19th January. 'NOTES' on the border chart give full details of fabric size required. The KEY gives the complete list of threads and size of fabric that you will need for the border and for all 12 flowers and butterflies.
Please keep me updated on how you get on with wips and final pieces. I hope, like the Sunbonnet Sue designs, you will enjoy these as well.
